- Putting lots of keywords into your pages (also known as keyword stuffing)
- Hiding your keywords on your web pages by making the text invisible to users such as having your text color the same as your background color
- Using very small text
- Content duplication
- Doorway pages (low quality pages with minimum contents or no contents at all but contain links to many other sites)
- Link farms
- Page cloaking - When you present different contents to Google and your users such as showing the HTML version stuffed with keywords to the Google spiders and showing a flash based website to your users.
- Hidden links
Many of these spamming techniques are quite old and Google's spiders will be able to recognize them. If you spot these spams on other web sites, you can also report them to Google at http://www.google.com/contact/spamreport.html. Google may then blacklist the domain and
will remove the site from its index so it will not be shown on Google's search results.
